Literature Text

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. And sometimes the embodiment of fear are those who have no face. Like Slenderman: the faceless moster from the Slenderman Mythos and Cabadath: the Prince from the Chzo Mythos. I'm the Pixilated Penguin (AKA AkumaTh) and it'll be my job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win in a Death Battle.

Story

Slenderman

The earliest sightings of the Slenderman was in the early 1600s in Germany. Not much is known about the Slenderman outside a few traits, all of which leads to the disappearance of his victims. As technology advances, more light on the Slenderman arrives which includes numerous photographic and video evidence of his appearance.

He hunts those who have seen him as childhood, stalking his prey until the time is right to strike. What he does with the victim is unknown as there is no evidence of their death ever found.

Cabadath

In the first century, Cabadath was a druid who made contact with the Ethereal Realm. He originally planned to bring one of the creatures of that world to his and control it. The creature he brought was Chzo, who took him into the World of Magick instead. To punish Cabadath, Chzo imprisoned his soul into an oak sapling, granting him immortality. For 500 years, Cabadath was tortured beyond imagination to the point of becoming Chzo's slave and turning him into the Highest Servant, the Prince.

In 1501, the Oak Tree was cut down by a Norseman woodcutter. Cabadath killed the woodcutter and spared his son so he could tell the world about him. Since then, Cabadath has killed or ruined the lives of anyone near the wood his body was once trapped in. Making sure that each victim knew the name of the King.

Armor/Weapons

Slenderman

Slenderman, as he currently is, wears a black or grey suit, red or black tie, and a white shirt. Nothing suggests these benefit or hinder him in any way.

Cabadath

Cabadath's attire is a long, black, tight-fitting, high-collared coat with tails that reach to the floor. He also wears a large piece of blood-stained white fabric that covers his front and ends at approximately the pectorals. His hands are covered with blood-soaked bandages. He also wears a mask that makes his face similar to the Slenderman's.

His trademark weapon is a pointed stave, one taller than he is and with four scythe blades at the top. He can wield it without trouble.

Abilities/Powers

Slenderman

While the powers have varied from story to story, here is a list of known powers. Slenderman has the ability to be invisible to select people, adult humans, or anyone without a camera. He can change his height and body shape, change his arms into tentacles and sprout more from its back and shoulders. Those can be used as additional arms or legs or just to instill fear. There is a debate that the Proxies are under his control or whoever controls the Slenderman so I wouldn't count it.

Slenderman also has Sigma Radiation, a form of radiation that interferes with modern recording devices. This is contagious, but doesn't seem to have negative repercussions. He also uses a technique known as "Slender Walking", which is Slenderman either disappearing or teleporting. Prolong exposure to Slenderman creates the Slender Sickness, which causes massive paranoia, nose bleeds, nightmares, hallucinations, and many other dangerous symptoms. This sickness could be link to his ability to create memory loss to his victims.

Before his new style, he would impale his victim on the branches of very tall trees while they were still alive. He would then remove their organs, place them in plastic bags, and put them back in, all without the victim struggling. That shows incredible strength as well as knowledge of the human body.

Cabadath

Cabadath is immortal thanks to the punishment that he received from Chzo. Thanks to being tortured for 500 years, things that would normally hurt a person wouldn't phase him. He shown the ability to teleport as well as Slenderman, able to seemingly be anywhere he can physically go to. Despite his appearance, he possesses disproportionate strength and speed. While he does move slowly, he can strike fast when he wants to.

Before his change to the Prince, he was able to use basic-level sorcery and summon an opening to the Ethereal Realm when the boundaries between the two realms were weakest. Now, he can drag a victim to the World of Magick whenever he is angered. He also believed his magick would have been enough to control the Chzo (though it was bigger than he anticipated).

With his stave, he can fragment a victim's mind, body and soul into three pieces. Though by the end of the series (6 Days A Sacrifice) he has been drained of his power and renamed the Arrogant Man, the moments prior to that has him at his most powerful.

Weaknesses

Slenderman

Slenderman has no known weakness outside being seen by visual recording devices. But there is one thing to note: nothing suggests that he is immortal. While he does seem ageless, existing since the 1600s, nothing shown to at least attempt to hurt him.

Cabadath

Cabadath is arrogant. And the weakness of arrogance comes with it. Despite the teleporting and immortality, he hasn't shown Magick Abilities so it is debatable if he can use that.

Accomplishments

Slenderman

Since the 1600s, was responsible for the many disappearances or deaths of numerous victims.

Cabadath

Since the 1500s, was responsible for the many deaths of numerous victims. Can snap necks as easily as snapping a twig.

My Verdict

The problem with Slenderman is that there is a lot of assumptions. But if giving him access to everything he is known for, he seems to be the obvious pick. But there are numerous factors to consider as well.

Even is Slenderman could control the minds of humans, the Chzo is in control of Cabadath and I'm pretty sure he's Cthulhu levels in comparison to Slenderman. The fight would not last long enough for the effects of Slender Sickness to last. And despite the tentacles or the ability to change heights, the fact remains that Cabadath is immortal.

While we could assume Slenderman is immortal, there is nothing to confirm it. Meanwhile, the former human Cabadath was imprisoned in an Oak Sapling for 500 years and became the Prince. Pretty much means immortal. The Slenderman can try all he can to fully take down the Prince. But no matter what he can do, the Prince will survive.

Slenderman can try to escape with his ability to teleport, but the Prince will follow. He will keep following until he finds the Slenderman and ends him. And eventually Slenderman will know the name of the King…

It hurts…
This is the article I made on Screwattack. I figured I should post it here so others can see it beyond my links. It also is a small sample of how I do my research for Death Battle.

Check out my journal on why Slender Man may never be in a Death Battle.
No, this is not self promotion.
I wouldn't stoop down that far.
